No bs social media. Get to listen to the tunes of Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra. LSU on the verge of a national title (58). Football didn’t care about CTE, it was a grown mans sport. Good times

Yeah but women had huge bushes.

And you know, the whole Cold War/fear of being nuked.

Black community lived in fear.

Bunch of vets running around with PTSD.

Reefer was shitty and no craft beer.

Stan Lee had yet to create the Fantastic Four.

Michael Jordan hasn’t started playing basketball yet.

Alabama had already claimed a few fake titles

I’ll pass, but I like Ike.

I would be in the twilight of my life right now. Hard pass on that shite... I'd like to think I have some good years left.

Oh definitely.

Mainly because I would get to see big beautiful steam locomotives everywhere.

Every day. Great music, classy dames, no women in the workforce eating up 45% of the jobs, nobody kneeling during our beautiful anthem, no Moslems leering at your "unclean" dog on the street

I grew up in the 80's and 90's and all those still applied. Plus there were Transformers and BMX.

Brylcream and Butch Hair Wax
A couple TV stations
Telephone numbers had 5 digits
We played outside dawn to dusk - Chase, Hide and Seek and God Forbid "Cowboys and Indians"
We learned Reading, Writing and Arithmetic
We rode bicycles everywhere and they had baskets
Yes it was a great time, no A/C though, floor furnace and gas heaters

I was born in 1950 but remember a happy childhood of simple lifestyles. I don't remember being hot in our non air conditioned home. Three channels on black and white tv. The National Anthem played at the end of the broadcast, usually at midnight. We played outside all day with few toys! Very different than today's world for sure. But, I do enjoy all of the luxuries and technology.

I’d take the 80s or 90s over the 50s

The black community still lives in fear except now it’s fear of being shot by other blacks.
