I've had for just over two weeks now. Finally getting to where I'm not coughing all day. I gutted houses but had it before I started. Was a sinus infection. Steroids and antibiotics helped with feeling like crap but not the cough. Lots of people are getting it right now.

My brother has COPD and went help gut 2 houses, he ended up with pneumonia. Probably wasn't the best move to expose himself to them conditions.

Could be just going around. My throat was a little a scratchy last week. I've been taking 1000 mg of vitamin c a day to boost the immune system.

If you're using those little dust mask you buy at lowes you're wasting your money and hurting yourself. They do nothing in the way of filtering.
You should were a full blown filter respirator with filters designed for mold spores. Most of them are for paint fumes and not mold and the like.

I wore a mask as much as possible. So far, so good.

Find some codeine. Had this a few months back and a few nights of the syrup knocked it out

I had a slight cough and my asthma was acting up the morning after first house I worked on. Wore a mask for the next houses and no issues at all. Not even asthma type concerns.

No but I did get the squirts out the rear and the rash on my forearms.

I had it.
I took dexamethazone and DayQuil for 7 days. NyQuil at night.
It was rough.
It doesn't have anything to do with gutting houses. It's just a nasty virus that's going around. Wouldn't wish it on anybody.

I think I have a cold, not necessarily related to the flood though. I have nasal drip, congestion, and cough. Fwiw I haven't been sick in roughly 5 Years. I think I was just exhausted and picked up a cold
I do remember standing in rushing flood water and feeling like ants were biting my legs, but there were no ants. Something in the water stung like a sob.

Yeah man. You got it. It's brutal.
It was here before the flood. It's taken me 12 days to feel almost back to normal.

I have had a cough since the end of June. It will not go away. For 3 weeks it was so severe I thought for sure I might die. Now it is minor but still aggravating. It just will not go away.
Ask your doctor to test for a kind of infection brought on by inhaling mold spores--that is often the cause of an unexplained continuous cough.

My doc calls it the flood flu. Turned into bronchitis for me real quick. Got tested and it was actually bacterial for me. Antibiotics cleared it right up
