Being nervous or anxious means the terrorists already won.
I'm not scared at all. I'm proud that NYC rebuilt. It's going to take more than 9/11 to take this country down.

Exactly.
I'm way too stubborn to live in fear.
Frick that and them.

My 70 year old mom is flying back here on Thursday and is concerned.
I told her that I don't think terrorists will target the Bumfrick, Illinois - Atlanta - New Orleans route.

I'm especially amused when people in places like Macon,GA, Auburn, AL or Lafayette act like they may be targeted. You never know, but come on.

Um. no.
Not doing things in your life because of that fear is what makes them win.
Nervous/ anxious curiosity in human nature.

I disagree. Most people fear what they don't understand. Knowledge and education often dispel fear.

I actually fear our own government more than I should have to.

Trust me. Just the fact that even one American is "nervous" gives a terrorist a boner. Have you seen these idiots? They run around covered head to toe, living in medieval conditions, and cutting people's heads off to appease their god. They love that people view them as the "boogey man". In reality, these guys are cowards that hide behind their religion and abuse its power.

I had a professor who was in the London Underground during the 7/7/2005 Bombings. She refuses to live in fear because she knows the chance of ever being killed in a terrorist attack is insanely remote.

I'm also nervous and anxious each hurricane season. I don't think the hurricanes won. It's human nature to be curious. Don't be an idiot.

They also bomb and kill American citizens regularly.

Do you people not understand the difference between living in fear and nervous curiosity?

Not winning the lottery makes me real nervous, but not quite as nervous as the thought of crashing my car. frick, let's not even talk about going to bed and coping with the anxiety born from the thought of not waking in the morning.

I mean, I'm slightly more apprehensive than normal that something bad will happen to the West on Thursday. I wouldn't call it being nervous or anxious though.
I'm not really concerned about my personal safety, but maybe I would be if I was going to something with some significance, like a major memorial service in NYC or DC or something.

Actually what you said makes you look like an idiot, not me. You're comparing a hurricane (a force of nature) to a terrorist (a human). Apples to oranges buddy.

What's your definition of regularly? Because I certainly don't think it happens regularly.

And your point is? Millions of others are plotting to do the same thing every day. Either way, they're still cowards and my point still stands.
