Same here. Heavy winds and lots of lightning but basically no rain.

Yeah got real windy and my power went off and on twice. I'm talking having to rest computer, cable, clocks.

Three hours and still no cop directing traffic at Perkins/Acadian. It's an absolute clusterfrick.

Took some pretty crazy slow motion video of the lighting tonight. This is a screen shot of one of the bolts. Doesn't do it justice at all.

quote:Drove over the Howard Franklin Bridge in this. At one point it would have been impossible to pull over because the entire side of the road was a parking lot. It was intense as I've ever seen. I called my girlfriend to see if there was a tornado in the area because it was so bad. It was amazing to watch though.
As I was driving I could see the storm moving at an insane pace. I honestly thought it was going to become a tornado. It was insane. I'm finally about to start driving again.

I'm trying to get better pictures of it. The slow mo video of that part is absolutely incredible.

Just got power back. Only took four hours. Its always nice to look out across the street at all the power who never lost power in the first place.

What happens to cars that get hit by lightning? No bullshite there were at least 10 cars being towed and cops EVERYWERE. There's no way that many vehicles broke down and they were all single vehicles, no crashes. People were standing outside their cars in the damn storm.

We lost power for 1.5 minutes. Computer, Internet and HD Homerun Prime are all on a UPS and didn't skip a beat.
I was home, inside, walking past my front door, when this house-shaking clap of thunder came out of nowhere to announce the beginning of the storm. My reaction was like that startled cartoon cat who jumps and clings to the ceiling upside down.
