I used to think it was my MIL but I've just about decided it's most of Mrs. Wishn's family

Long story short, little Wishn got RSV and gave it to Wishn Jr. both stay often at our MIL's house along with Mrs. Wishin's sister's 3 young kids

Well Mrs. Wishin's sister is a little crazy when it comes to kids and illness (she's otherwise pretty likable so I really don't get it) and she has her husband go and basically cuss out the MIL for letting my kids be over there and expose their kids to RSV even though there was no way to know. He apparently said all this shite about how their kids won't be there anymore, they aren't going to family thanksgiving, this is why their other son wants nothing to do with Mrs. Wishin's parents, etc. etc.

What's weird about this to me is the dude has done similar shite like this before but he will NEVER say a word to me or my wife about it. Only bless out the MIL. He's not my favorite person but I've never thought he was a total bitch. I don't get it. He doesn't even realize we know but of course bc of the drama drug Mrs. Wishin's momma told Mrs. Wishn who told me

Oh well whatever

Research narcissism and you’ll see how common it is. Mindblowing to me that there are people out there that just live for creating drama among people they supposedly love in order to get attention or get a feeling of power. It’s hell.

My mother is one and with Thanksgiving next week, she’s already started to ramp it up. We are a very normal family with stable jobs, no drugs, etc. yet she will turn the holidays into something that is an absolute nightmare because of her narcissism.

Good luck man.

Thank you, Jesus for giving me drama free, respectable siblings. I can’t even imagine dealing with that bs.

It's a lot worse than what I have shared here. Pure evil.

One of my sisters (no pics) has become that person. I’m convinced that she does certain things now with the goal of causing drama. Doesn’t matter who it hurts as long as it gets a reaction from someone. Makes me dread the holidays.

Dear Facebook

Just one? Hell no. Bunches LOL. My dear Mama was the ringleader for years but she is too old to be dramatic now....her drama is real LOL. She did pass the gene onto to almost ALL of the women in our family. It was actually a minor factor in our leaving the country for nearly 10 years. It doesn't impact us like it once did - I actually laugh at them when they get started and it pisses them off no end but they do not bother to involve me. They do try to get my wife involved but she has always told them it was their drama, she wasn't getting involved. Family going to family

My brother's wife. She hates me bc I've called her out for cheating on him multiple times. She has told their 3 kids & various other family members they need to hate me as well. Makes family gatherings an awkward tragedy that everyone hates attending.

Good times.

I have 2 living sisters. Our mom is in a nursing home with advanced dementia. All 3 of us go, separately, get her and take her to lunch and maybe some shopping 4-5 times a year. Every time one of us does it and see one another just after the first thing any of us says is "she was perfect....no drama at all". That is how steeped in our psyche her drama, when she was younger and full of piss and vinegar, is. It is far worse for my sisters, I was the golden child - the drama directed toward me was almost exclusively directed toward my wife who seldom rose to the bait, bless her soul. It is really sad that adult kids are guarded because of life experiences with that BS. I watch both my sisters around their kids and they absolutely bend over backwards to prevent them experiencing the same crap. I am certain their kids "think" their moms are drama queens, and they are to some extent, but they have no idea how much better their moms are than their moms mom was.....

That’s a tough one. You are thinking you can reason your way to peace and she just thinks everyone in the family is just someone to stir shite with. Sounds like a personality disorder. My mom could be like that but she always rose to the occasion on holidays.

As man I am certain I have a slanted view of this subject but I can say, without reserve, that I can't think of a single time a man in our family has ever caused any drama. This includes a laundry list of men with all manner of substance abuse issues, gambling, whoring around, belonging to the klan....all manner of ill shite, never, in my memory, turned into a 6 month long drama with people not speaking to one another and ruining kids birthday parties. My dad and a cousin almost came to blows over politics at a family re-union about 20 years ago and within 15 minutes of calling one another anything but a child of god they were drinking and playing cards and busting one another's balls good naturedly. They did not involve their wives or girlfriend - the first move any of the women would have done is ask their male significant other "are you going to let her speak to me that way?". I've seen men in my family do similar things at funerals, birthdays, weddings....it always lasted a short period of time and was over....not so with the women....some of it has lasted decades. Again, I am sure i am looking at it through tinted glasses but it seems like women go further and hang on longer when it comes to drama than men....

So your brother is a cuck? I'd be mad at him, not her.

I don't think they enjoy causing problems. I think they are miserable and do not enjoy anything. They simply can't help themselves....they are self involved and miserable. It is really, seen from afar, pretty sad that someone is so miserable they can't enjoy anything and can't allow those they care about and who care about them enjoy anything.

I have an aunt that used to be a fricking menace. Quiting Alcohol worked for her and she has been tame for the last few years.

Old age and dementia did it for my mother. She is a kitten now. A lion with a toothache, diarrhea and an ingrown toenail was more pleasant to be around than she was when she was young, and if she was drinking, which was all the time, it was infinitely worse.

Just the opposite. First thanksgiving without dad. He brought a lot of energy and fun. He was married to mom for 59 years and she misses him terribly. Things will not be the same this year.

Yes, he is. I have no idea why he stays with this woman. She has some kind of magical spell over him & we all have to suffer because of it.

My sister’s plan of attack has always been through food and her ever changing list of things she can’t or won’t eat.

It creates an oversized number of issues anytime the family gets together.
