My kids have requested their first banana split so after I cook dinner we will be splitting one. Then, renting a movie to watch with the mr. Finally, Waffle House and church tomorrow am. Perfection.

You should put that sentence in your will so the kids can forever wonder if they were one of the lucky two. Next level mindfrickery right there.

He was by himself in the middle of nowhere at a mountain park 30-40 minures from us. Thankfully some other riders saw him and was able to help him get to where I could pick him up. Otherwise I would have been hiking several miles to him.

We used to say New Years Eve is for amateurs.

We'll be home, tending the wood stove to keep the house temp up at minimum cost as the real outside temps are forecast to be 6-8F with a north wind of about 10mph. On top of our hill. Hoping that the neighbors 1/4 of a mile away got their waterlines thawed today; dude showed about 9:30 last night with a couple of empty jugs asking for water. We filled 'em and drove him back to his house. His wood stove is, at least, working.

Nope, wife and the 2 youngest are down for a nap. I enjoy New Year’s day much more than New Year’s Eve. Lots of football to be watched , good food, and family. We are just going to sit by the fire and watch a movie tonight. Off to bed for 10 for me.

Going to a friend's house. Will be drinking by the fire pit outside watching their neighbor's firework show

Been sick for 10 days, a lil bit better, but too cold to get out and get sicker. If my friend with benefits comes over that'll be the highlight. If she don't, hopefully tomorrow

An exciting night for me is the kids asleep, red wine, and a good book. Can’t wait.

I only ride alone, group rides are weird and not fun. You're focused on the tail of the person in front of you. The whole idea is the openness and being at one. I've done McDowell and Cave Creek.
