It's a badass vehicle. The interior is legit. The design of the interior is supposed to be based on a cockpit of a fighter jet. There is a 7 degree tilt (toward the driver) in the center console and display. Really nice leather seats too. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a 6-cylinder sedan.

Drove a rental a few months back. Solid feel and moves like Hell.

I had one from 01 to 10 and loved it. Might go back for my next car.

Diamond embossing on the aluminum strip is too much.

Ditch the CVT. That does not belong in anything over $30,000 and certainly not a sports sedan.

Wholeheartedly agree. CVT sucks. It's akin to a gas golf cart transmission.

Most would not even realize it was a cvt. The newer models have shift points that make it feel like a multi speed transmission during normal to moderate driving.

I like it but I would prefer the following changes:

1. Make it rear wheel drive like the original Maxima. This is critical.

2. Change the entire exterior styling language. Like everything. Fire the guy that came up with the floating C pillar look.

3. Ditch the CVT. That does not belong in anything over $30,000 and certainly not a sports sedan.

I'll add, bring back the manual in the Maxima.
