People that say the south is worse than the desert southwest haven’t spent a truly hot summer in 110+ heat. It’s the repetitiveness that can wear you down. The winters are great though.

Yep, lived there for three years in mid-late 90's. Very hot yes, wasn't much there to do though. You get used to the oven-like heat after awhile. I prefer the drier low-100's heat than low-mid 90s w/ high humidity.

Been in South Louisiana all my life and the hottest I’ve ever been was fort Stockton TX in October. I can’t imagine what it’s like in dead summer

This is what I’ve been thinking. I’ve spend time in 104-105 dry heat and that was hot. 115-120 must be a different animal.
