Not really. I have had multiple Ridgebacks and a couple of curs and even a RR/Cur mix and these are definitely black mouth curs. Plus it is hard to miss the ridge on their backs though there are occasionally ridgeless ones. They actually share a lot of personality traits with each other though.

I have a dog that looked exactly like that pup. He (Tucker) now looks like a damn dingo......that pup is a mut.

My old hound dog is 12-13 years old now, and not long for this world. I have been seriously considering a RR for my next pup, if I can find a source. I’d be interested to hear any insights you have into the breed.
