I’m gonna ditch Cox. AT&T has quoted me on a package with fiber internet + DirecTV streaming for less than half of what I’m paying Cox.

I liked directv stream but youtubetv is a slightly better product and is maybe $20 cheaper

I pay $60 a month for att fiber 500 gb and $80 for youtubetv. I also have starlink with a router that can use both ip’s but the starlink is overkill to assure I never lose internet

I'm ATT fiber and DirectTV Stream. Like another poster said, no complaints. Stream is a bit pricey lately. I'll have to look in to that.

Yes. We have it during baseball season because it is/was the only streaming provider for the Braves. In the offseason we switch to YTTV.

We like YTTV better, but it's not a massive difference.

I have it. It’s my favorite one as far as layout, guide, etc. Most smart TVs don’t have the app for some reason tho so you’ll most likely need a Roku or some other streaming stick.

If I want the Space City Network (all Astros and Rockets games) it’s the only option outside of Fubo. I trialed Fubo during the ESPN outage and didn’t like it near as much.

They’re also not stingy about streaming from multiple locations at the same time.

If your appetite is sports, consider uzzu tv...120.00 a year and tends to cover the water front

I have it. The only complaint is that the channel numbers are odd. Instead of channel X being on 40, it's on 342. That's the only adjustment.

I can login to any computer or tv anywhere and watch tv like normal.

it's a great service but dropped it a few months ago during their dispute with Disney since I couldn't watch LSU/USC

I do, I like it. Although it logs out of the app occasionally and it's a pain in the arse because they don't have the QR code login thing that works from your phone.

Why every app doesn't have that, I have no idea.

Thanks yall. A couple more dumb questions:

Voice remote control?

Any issues interacting with outside apps like Netflix, Amazon, Apple, etc?

Will I have a single receiver, or one for each TV?

THAT is the downside. The previous year it was missing NBC for the entire year due to contract "negotiations."

I don't have a receiver for DirecTV stream. It's an app, just like Netflix, Disney+, etc.

And I can login anywhere, which is great.

I never use voice remote control for anything so I have no idea, but it doesn't have it's own remote, you use your smart tv remote.

I think you get streaming for free if you have a satellite. See if you can get the login from a family member. Send them the Jelly of the month for payment.

You can get voice remote control if you order the Gemini air controller or the box. Each Gemini controller is about seven dollars a month. I don’t know how much the box is.

I have two Gemini controllers and the rest I get through Roku. The Roku voice controller does not work to do things like changing channels within DIRECTV. The Gemini air controller and the box remote do that.

No issues with getting Netflix or any other streaming service.

What I like about it is the ability to watch TV anywhere. You can get on the app and watch on your computer, iPhone, or iPad. You can also watch on any TV anywhere just by putting your credentials into the DIRECTV app. Of course, you’ll need either a smart TV or a Roku type device.
