Not being fat.
in my obese days, i used to snore with regularity. As i lost the weight, it lessened until it stopped one day

Being fat isn't the only cause of snoring

Just tell your body to stop. Don't be a beta to your own body.

I just got a sleep test. They told me that my brain forgets to tell my body to breath when I sleep. So basically I never get in REM sleep.
They have prescribed me a Bi-pap ST which is like $5000. I get it next week. I'm hoping it's a life changer.

Get an adjustable base under your mattress and raise head slightly.

here we go again....only 1 in 8 people who snore have sleep apnea...the rest just plane snore. as a dentist who treats this issue day in and day out, and on myself as well, The Moses it by far and away the best oral appliance to treat BOTH snoring and apnea...but if it's just snoring, this will do the trick. and please, if you're just gonna make snide comments, please don't. snoring and apnea are serious subjects...they affect both quality of life and sometimes LENGTH of life.

I sleep with wifes nipple in my mouth. That always works.

Does that thing have the potential to frick up your bite?
Posted on 3/27/17 at 11:46 am to upgrayedd
it is a fact that when you wake up, your bite CAN be off slightly, but is is very transient and goes back into place within a few minutes...yes, excellent question

That looks very uncomfortable. What do your patients say about the adjustment to sleeping with it?
Posted on 3/27/17 at 12:06 pm to tbabino
So do you have to go to a dentist for that thing or do you order it online?

I have a bad overbite. Will I be able to wear this without discomfort? I tried to wear a mouthpiece when I was younger that forced my bottom jaw forward and the pain was just unbearable. I couldn't deal with it and kept the overbite plus I spit the thing out in my sleep without knowing it.

let' answer all these issues....yes, of course, you have to see a dentist. it's not magic. you have to take impressions, and you have to figure out how far forward and how open you can get that individual patient to comfortably fall asleep. it takes an appointment of about 45 minutes. no, you cannot order them online. yes, overbites or underbites, it doesn't matter, this device addresses them all. and surprisingly yes, it is EXTREMELY comfortable to wear. I wear it myself, and have for 3 years. i would be on the sofa without it.
