Anybody have any experience with removing birds from your attic?

I've heard chirping around the soffit areas since I moved in 2 months ago. It seems to be late in the evenings and mornings when I hear it. I've been up there to look around but I don't see any evidence of birds but I hear a distinct chirping sound in certain areas. Anybody have any experience with removing birds from your attic?

Find stray cat and put it in your attic.

My attic access is in my garage. I just left it open one Saturday and it eventually flew out.

Put a king snake in your attic. Problem solved.

do you have attic exhaust fans. Could be a bearing going out causing the chirp. Put a game camera up there to see if you get any pictures. If there are birds then their is going to be bird shite so it should be easy enough to find where they are.

They like to nest in unscreened vents, and the only evidence inside the attic is that the attached ducts will be full of nest.

It could be bats. They nest at this time of year especially in dark places.

Critters and birds love gable vents

This might be a stupid question, but is there any chance it could be squirrels? I had problems with squirrels. I have a shop area that could also be converted into a small apartment, that is attached to the house. When I go out the back door, there is a 8' wide breezeway between the back wall of the house and front wall of the shop. The attic runs through it all. Somehow the squirrels were getting in through the shop part and getting into the attic.
There was an area in the back of the shop on the outside where it appeared they could have been getting in at (which is close to a tree that often has squirrels). I had someone fix it and it seemed to do the trick. If anything gets in there during the summer I doubt it will survive long.
