Any same-day eyeglass procuring in Baton Rouge?

Is there anyplace in BR where I could get an exam and/or get glasses made from a prescription the same day I get the prescription? Even two-day service is acceptable.

I was able to get same day prescription glasses from Smarter Eyewear by Trader Joe's after my other glasses were stolen out of my car. I just went to Walmart for the eye exam.

There's a place that has same day glasses in the shopping center by Target on Siegen. Can't think of the name offhand, maybe something like Eyeglass Express or something like that.

I'm sure there are plenty of Lenscrafters, Pearle Vision type of places around. The question is, why in the hell would you go to one and get a pair of cheap Chinese junk frames?

Yes, they still cost $300 OOP. I wouldn’t call that cheap, tho

You are not getting them same day unless you have a very generic prescription and you opt for the no frills lenses. Same day you get plastic lenses, no AR coating, no progressives, etc.

Not cheap as in low cost, I'm not gonna sneeze at $300, but the frame selection at those places is all the same cheap crap. I have a thing for glasses, I have a hard time finding frames I like so I tend to spend more on them for something different.
