I believe I will be there Friday morning on June 23rd. Not at all familiar with how these work. Can you just show up and jump on one or do you need to book a ticket in advance? Any recommendations on specific riverboats that are a good time?

Yeh, I don't think they even bother calling them boats anymore.

Most if not all of them are built on land now. After katrina hit they changed the laws about them needing to be built on the water.

More or less just a giant barge that stays docked all the time. Most people don't even realize its not built on land.

Golden Nugget has a really nice pool area. IP's buffet is the shite.

The IP aka Imperial Palace is not smoke free. However, The Palace Casino is. Two different casinos

May be one of the most uncomfortable questions I've seen posed on here.

Yeah, but pre-Katrina, they had a 24-hour buffet. I ate a lot of 3 a.m. drunk meals there. They used to let you add a steak to the buffet for $1, what they would give you wasn't even worth half that price.

They don't resemble boats at all.

Treasure bay isn't on the water at all anymore. Neither is harrahs. However, I don't recommend either.

Beau, hard rock, golden nugget, IP, or palace (only cadino that is 100% smoke free). The rest have smoke free sections.

Good luck

They are mostly in land now. Even the ones over the water are not boats.

As the others say, there are no "riverboats" in Biloxi...they are basically all land-based casinos. honestly, all are very nice. there are differences depending on what you are looking for, but I don't think you will go wrong with any of them.

I am actually in Biloxi on business this week and will be happy to try to answer any specifics....and if I can't answer, cork is local and surely can catch the rest.
