Any other businesses still staying open despite the Govenor's requests?

Not an OT Baller so being out of work for 3 weeks would definitely be a struggle for me. We are a small business anyway so not really more than 10 people here at a time. Was relieved to hear the boss man say we're still working.

my wife's store (small boutique) is going to stay open, just limit the amount of people that can come in at one time below 8
which, sadly, hasn't really an issue the last 2 weeks...

I really hope they decide to ratchet up the heat and start revoking licenses for those who continue to operate.

Pawn shops are considered financial institutions and they get to stay open, at least the ones that want to. Good luck finding one that still has any guns in stock, though, most places sold out weeks ago. My wife's store miraculously received an order of 6 ARs on Saturday after being sold out for weeks, but all 6 were gone in just over an hour.

they probably need to pass an actual law for that
a lot of this stuff should be considered a taking by the government and opens them to potential suits. going that far makes the argument more clear

I approach it differently. The emergency declaration statute specifically states that the governor's orders have the force and effect of law during a time of emergency. Violation of the act is a misdemeanor punishable by fine and imprisonment (such as a curfew violation, or in this case, a shutdown order). Conviction of crimes is a basis to revoke licenses, especially those that endanger the health and welfare of the public.
I'm not saying it's quick, but a well-reasoned threat could make a huge difference.
