Ochsner is 90% covid in icus

Not true either...

Though it is a higher percentage.. They're running about 60 vents, not necessarily all covid pts, they have over 100 ICU beds...

Not true..

Actually their pt census is lower than usual, just the ICU's are jammed up...

and they're not 70 beds...

Thank you for clarification. This is why I was asking.

Threads like this are definitely helping. So far we've had at least three instances of someone claiming one thing, while another person comes along and says it's completely false.

Space is not the problem. Vents and pumps are tight. Staffing is short. Systems are trying to share within. CHNOLA sending nurses to other LCMC facilities as help since it’s the only hospital not slammed. Surgery and other teams are doing whatever to help and stay busy. The other day surgery helped EVS clean the entire hospital. One hospital in LCMC is more than double average daily census, but all are slammed.

Stay home. It’s still getting worse. If they don’t live with you, don’t visit them. In-laws and grandparents banned from our house despite usually having them over for dinner at least once a week. Kids using Facebook kids to socialize.

Well I really hope that what you've heard is the truth.
