I am looking at a remote position, but it will difficult to do from home. I am thinking about renting a single person office space from a local building or asking a nearby company if I could set an agreement with them for the office space.
Anyone ever do this before or have experience?

Where are you located? New Orleans has places like launchpad, connect hub, etc. that have shared office spaces. You can choose option like a private office on the floor, private desk on the floor, or just general use area. Very affordable and also good networking.

You wear seersucker suits? Just kidding.
We're moving down to Naples, FL for a year in August to see how we like it. I may consider renting a one room office as my wife works from home also and we may not be able to find a property that allows pets and has the space we need for bedrooms and offices.

I know a massage therapist in lafayette who has rented space at a building on Heymann Blvd down closer to I guess what is University. It's on the right past the LGMC parking tower and past Cafe Lola.

My whole company is remote and everyone lives in different states and works from home, but my boss rents me and my coworker an office here in BR. We deal with a metric ton of paperwork, so it is necessary.
I don't know where you live, but our office is in a building that is designed specifically for this. The company that owns the building uses their largest suite for their own company and then rents everything else out to various companies. You can even just "rent a chair" where you basically can use a desk in one of the main areas and have access to the scanner/printer/mail/conference room/etc. as needed.
These types of places were popping up more and more pre-covid, and may still be doing so since companies are going semi-remote and not needing massive building.
I wouldn't want to do this if we only had cubicles or something though. I need my privacy. We have a private office.
