Sounds like a classic case of repressed homosexuality. The antidepressant offered a release to the part of your brain which regulates sexual attraction. It’s an often overlooked side effect. Your attraction to women was something you constructed to hide your true nature. Have you been humming show tunes lately?

I had my testosterone tested twice and it came back normal according to the parameters that they use nowadays,
Find a different doctor, probably not a GP. The range of "normal" is stupendous

Normal testosterone levels are usually described as:
300–1,000 ng/dL for men
If you know any math at all, that is a massive range. What's not important is what Mount Sinai says, but what you, as an individual expect.
Different anti-depressants work differently on individuals. I had a roommate that had testosterone issues (played high school football, drank a lot, and was 23!) while he was on Wellbutrin.
I don't disagree that you need to wait a couple of weeks to see if the Effexor wears off. However, you will eventually find a doc that will proscribe you T. You need one that's smart enough to give you a cycle, proscribe an anti-aromatase, and is paying enough attention to your feedback to adjust how often you inject, etc.
I won't post the links to bodybuilder sites, but you can use them as somewhat of a set of guardrails so you at least know the right questions to ask, how to understand side effects and how to mitigate them, etc. A lot of guys that aren't super workout fiends seem to lurk around those sites just to learn what questions to ask their doctors to feel like a normal man again.

Talk w your doc about Trintellix or another one of the “designer” anti-depressant drugs that target specific uptake receptors without causing sexual side effects.

I’ve been on anxiety meds for about 10 years now.
which one?
Ive done a ton of reading on the new wave of micro dosing and mushrooms for anxiety/depression, and its overwhelmingly positive.
Micro dosing for PTSD will be FDA approved later this year. Netflix has a great doc about the research.
They are seeing people feel like themselves for months off just one trip. It digs deep into your mind and lets you "let go" of things back to your childhood.

What else do you need to maintain an erection for?
