How did it go for you? How much you spent? Satisfied?

Most women want a disco ball attached to their hands. Sounds like a great purchase.

Unless her gemstone came from a warlord, your woman will always have a nagging doubt about whether you love her.

First thing she'll see is this.

Then she'll see it every day until she hands it back.

Agreed.

Those women want to watch tv (that you pay for) in their pjs on the couch (that you paid for and hate, but it is pretty furniture) playing on facebook (highest speed internet that you pay for, although she has no idea what a gigabyte is) until noon (in the house that you pay for) and then go to lunch (that you pay for at some crappy way overpriced tea room) with her fake friends so they can discuss the important things in life- like what nail color goes best with these shoes (that you didnt even know you paid for until the credit card bill comes)

I'm not sure if "most" women is true or not, but I know that it seems like a silly thing to be excited about. I know that I didn't care about the size of the diamond.

Not having my poor college student fiance be in debt for months, trying to pay it off was more important to me.

And that is why you are a better lifelong companion

Some women want the trophy. Your hubby got the prize.

I did. Got a 1.5 cr from Moissaniteco.com. Spent like $600-650 on the stone IIRC and around 3500 total with the ring combined.

And you literally can't tell a fricking difference. Don't beat yourself up looking at diamonds and seeing all the imperfections and shite because you can't see any of that dumb shite in person. Everyone who saw my fiancée's ring has been like wow, dualed's got money, huh!? And I sit there with my shite eating grin because they don't know any better. And then I gladly tell them nope, not a diamond! Just to prove a point.

Fight the good fight man, get a moissanite. Didn't mean for that to rhyme .

ETA: Also, make sure you get the hearts and arrows cut.

Same, but I loved my fiance and got a real diamond.

I don't do this.

But I do this.

In all seriousness though, getting a fake diamond to appear like you spent a ton of money on a real diamond is as superficial as actually spending money on the real diamond. If it truly doesn't matter, just get the smaller diamond.

Uh the money matters and the size matters, and this guy won on both.

Why dies size of a diamond matter other than to look like you spent money? Faking it is superficial. Wanting a real diamond isn't any better, but you aren't besting the system. Especially if you tell them its fake. Girls want big and shiney because it's expensive. Take that away and her friends arent jealous anymore and whats the point. Its sad, but 100% true.

Your just finding a cheap way to play the very game you say is ridiculous and overpriced. And you forfeit when you tell them its fake.

As long as she likes it good on you. But i agree that it's superficial either way. I got married a long time ago and could only afford a tiny chip off a real diamond. Wife still wears it and has refused any offers for an upgrade all these years.

The aggravating part is there is all this angst over a gemstone that is not even remotely rare. Diamond trade is BS and we are all dupes for participating .

Agreed. It’s no different than buying a fake Rolex trying to pretend to be something you aren’t.
