Tennessee resident here. Thinking of getting my little baw a lifetime hunting/fishing license. For his age now, it’s $200

I did it, it's a great deal and he'll appreciate it when he's older. Who knows what licenses will cost in 20 years.

never got one. But that sounds worth it for only 200

Totally worth it if the kid's the least bit interested in hunting and fishing.
shite, it's probably totally worth it even if the kid isn't.
We did this thread not too long ago. If I remember right, everything the lifetime combination license covers in Louisiana costs you something like 50-75 bucks a year. From what I recall, the only thing it doesn't cover is a federal duck stamp and maybe some of the specialized equipment licenses if you want to use things like crab pots (maybe). Anyways, $200 for a lifetime is a fricking steal. Hell, it's only $500 if you're over 14. At that price, it's STILL a steal if you hunt and fish.
Also, I learned recently that you can go to the DMV and if you have a lifetime hunting or fishing license, you can bring the lifetime license with you and the DMV will add an endorsement for it right on your driver's license. Then, you never have to carry a hunting or fishing license again. It'll always be printed directly on your driver's license any time you get a new one.

I will definitely do this when the time comes. If I wanted one now it cost a lot of money.

Tennessee is $200 until they are 3. Then at 3 it goes to $650. I’ll be buying my little baws before he turns 3

My dad bought both of my boys their lifetime hunting and fishing license for their first birthdays. I never got one, but it is a steal for kids.

We never buy a license. Way ahead at this point. Only been in court twice over it. Fines and probation. No big deal.

Do it, my dad bought my son one in TN. Best part for you guys in LA, is he moves out of state later in life and wants to hunt and fish in LA it's 425 a year.

I though it was 1 year. Thanks for the update.
Don't have one myself, but being 61, they cost me $5.

Do it and teach the little man how to hunt and fish. I'm not an avid outdoorsman anymore but I could feed my family in a zombie apocalypse

I would jump all over it. I really wish that I had bought Donkeypunch Jr one when he was young.
On a side note: It really burned that he turned 16 on 1/8 and I had to put out for Hunting/Big Game & a duck stamp that late in the season.
