No shite. If he's a welder and looking for work, something is wrong.
Call Turner, Repcon, Wyatt, Altair Strickland, etc. Work is still everywhere for welders if you are worth a shite and probably if you aren't.

If you're single, need $ and like to work...do it

If you'll miss home, girl, friends or hate working a lot....don't

They have postponed a large bit of it but are still building parts, just not at the rate they originally planned.

Only the GTL phase, but the cracker, polymer and support systems are in full swing. It's not going as fast as it could due to engineering, but it's still going at a pretty decent rate.

Love Lake Charles. Growing, not much traffic, lots of fishing, shrimping, crabbing, hunting etc. Close enough to IAH to get anywhere at anytime. Good for raising families, not the best for late 20's -mid 30's , but it is getting better.

I'd move back to LC from Nola in a heartbeat if I got the opportunity.

Live in the area and am supporting parts of the so called "Mega Project. I'm hearing parking and getting to and from the site will very soon become an absolute cluster.

New industrial construction jobs are usually a nightmare getting in and out of the parking lot.

You have an excellent point, I however, have zero experience with industrial projects of this scale...
