I would imagine a good percentage of this board is familiar with the show and is at least casually a fan of his.

I think Jones has become untouchable to virtually all media now.

The interview with the journalist who was being held prisoner in Somalia is the last episode I caught- Great one.

Absolutely, other podcasts just seem lazy in comparison.
I listen to a few podcasts and find they start to end just as the conversation is getting good.

quote:I lstened to this on my commute today. Thanks for the recommendation. There were so many thought-provoking moments and revelations. I think I’ll give it another listen or two to fully process what I learned, but it’s amazing to me how little this kind of life-altering and potentially life-saving information gets out to the general public. I get frustrated when I hear amazing discussions and lectures with such quality information and then can’t share them with anyone because they don’t have time (or claim that they don’t have time) to listen and learn.

You're very welcome .
It was very stats heavy so it was like taking on a fire hydrant at times as hes rattling off the numbers
What I found most interesting was the backstory of the Doctors/ residents and why they have such long crazy schedules and how that is directly resulting in medical errors/ hospital deaths.

YES that was crazy. I can see neuroscientists teaming up with industrial engineers (human factors, ergonomics, efficiency experts; what I got my degree in) to come up with real solutions for the hospital issues.
I’m also interested in reading up more on the Alzheimer’s links to sleep deprivation and was amazed to learn that even 6 hours a night causes your body to sacrifice some serious immune functions. Also, the explanation of sleep deprivation causing the exact behavioral patterns of ADHD leading to over-diagnosing and over-prescribing medication (which in turn causes more sleep deprivation due to taking a stimulant!) to children was a real thought-provoking point. I can’t wait to process what I heard over a good night’s rest tonight
