There are so many where would they even start? The government is so bloated with so many BS jobs.

I'm interested, but it matters who he gets rid of. As many state agencies have found out, just trying to get rid of as many workers as possible creates incentive for a lot of the actual talent to leave.

DMV could be 99% online and automated
I just hate the people that work there. Thats why I want them gone first
next would be social workers. 90% of them are worthless

As long as they don't replace all of them with higher paid consultants.

Do you understand the deference between the Federal and State government?

What's your gripe with social workers?

all they do is brag and don't ever actually do anything.
I guess I have more grip with state agencies.
maybe i just hate all gov employees.

I totally understand hating government's inefficiency, but it seemed like a weird profession to single out.

As a VA doctor who actually does a good job, I'm not worried.

Maybe they can get rid of some of these made up government jobs and give you a raise

The federal workforce (excluding military) could be cut by 50% and all essential services would continue uninterrupted.
All govt, at all levels should be reduced significantly for the taxpayer to survive.

I wouldn't go that far
but everytime i hear one talk its more about what "they" did. doesn't seem like it is really about the kids with most of them

I have a good friend that's a social worker, has a PhD, could easily make a lot more in the private sector, stays with it because he cares, could have retired long ago with a decent pension and practiced in the private sector, doesn't brag at all, just cares about his mission

When politicians decide who gets to keep their job, the only thing that it matters to be good at is arse-kissing. If it's doctoring that you're good at, you should be worried.

We have tenured city bus drivers who can break rules and don't care bc they won't get fired and make $25+ an hour how laughable is that. I know one he's a lottery customer at one of my stores, he parks the bus on the street, blocks a lane and doesn't care. I asked him if he's worried about being fired once and he said they would never fire him he's been there too long it would cost them too much lol
