There was just a facebook thingy on this in MS.

Weidmann's made the list.

18 restaurants to eat at in Mississippi

quote:

First opened in 1870, this renowned restaurant has earned national recognition for its mouth-watering cuisine, even attracting the attention of actress and Meridian-native Sela Ward, who in 2001, became an investor in the local favorite. The restaurant’s iconic image lives on thanks to informed servers who are more than happy to give customers a history lesson on Weidemann’s.

A collection of about 25 of the best Mexican restaurants ever assembled. I'm talking American Mexican not that authentic nonsense.

Best is probably La Pinata

The locals in Meridian consider upscale dining to be Red Lobster. And I'm not kidding.....

You can say that for most of Mississippi, to be honest. It's all Mississippi has left...history.
