What's wrong with hoping for a little snow?

It's about the same temperature in Boston right now. Grow up Nancy.

I don't think he was complaining. Just making a statement and asking a question.

Its like hoping for a Saints playoff after they have been mathmatically eliminated.

Not really you just need to know how to handle it.

How many people in SELA do you think know how to drive in snow?

Every year I hope for it. When it does snow, I plan to go out to the Expressway, with a case of beer, and a lawn chair. Watch all the idiots out on the road.

Drive slowly and give a lot more room between yourself and the car in front of you than you otherwise would so you don't have to slam on your brakes. LA doesn't get a ton of accumulation so snow tires aren't a requirement but for once in a few decades.

To be fair, people up here know how to drive in the snow, but god forbid a hard rain falls. I don't know for the life of me how it confuses them, but it does.

Also helps that the only hills, are going up a leevee. A lot easier to drive on flat surfaces. Not that it fixes stupid though.

Are people up north born with this skill? Do they take classes, or just learn on the fly?

We got reports of snow in Tickfaw and Mandeville ( With video) and we couldn't believe it, and neither could the NWS til they saw the video. They said it was possible due to a very small area of a thicker layer of wetbulbing being below freezing.

We had reports of sleet throughout the day all across south Louisiana, but the soundings just didn't support that being a possibility due to only having one layer of below freezing temps, so what people probably saw was graupel, or ice pellets, given the amount of lightning we had today.

not really, no

definitely not anywhere near covington for the next few days anyway

it's 17 in Shreveport but they probably won't get any precip until it warms up past freezing.
