I have nothing but good things to say about Amazon. Unbeatable service and their customer service is just as good.
I agree with this.
I just normally don't realize I'm low on something until I'm completely out of it

You also get the $5 back. It gives you a $5 credit on your first order from the button.
I don't recall getting that. Maybe that's something new. I've had mine a while. Or maybe they did and I just didn't notice.

I wish they would allow Apple TV to use their Prime App for TV/Movies. That is my only beef with them.

I'll just stick to Subscribe & Save and get 20% off my monthly order
I use both. I'm not sure if they're still doing it this way, but you used to get a credit for the price of the dash button towards your first purchase of the product. The buttons help for the one-off situations where I need products that are used with no regularity, like paper plates, plastic cups, dryer sheets, etc.

i mean with detergent it seems like it would be kinda hard to not know when you are getting low. That's the beauty of it. You go to do laundry and you see you are low and the button is right there to push. It's almost impossible to get sidetracked and forget to order more.

No I agree that the system works for most people. But I'll do things like break out the last roll of paper towels, and then when it's done, forget that I had used the last one.
It's a me problem.

I'm sure that happens to most people. But if you're paper towels are kept in your pantry then you just put the button in the pantry as well. That way when you grab that last roll you press the button.
I can think to do something and have it completely leave my memory 2 minutes later if i've got other things on my mind. Even for the most forgetful people this system is pretty much fool proof.

I just don't want these little fricking buttons all over my house. It takes me know time to pull up amazon and order the shite using my prime.

We put them all in the pantry, regardless of the actual product, but you're right that ordering it on prime isn't exactly a burden.

My kid has some friends who love to play pranks. I wonder just how long it would take for them to order a bunch of crap I'd get in the mail. Bad idea for my house.

I wouldnt have one in plain sight either. But inside a pantry or in my case inside the cabinet above my washer and dryer doesnt bother me.

You do get a notification on your phone and you can go cancel it. And again you can press it 100 times but it's only going to ship 1 even if you don't catch it.

Can our society get any lazier?
Probably, but I'm not sure what being lazy has to do with the topic at hand.
Is the person who makes a list and spends 40 minutes round trip on a visit to the store a harder worker than the person who punches a few dash buttons?

what happens when you accidentally press it...or your three-year old presses it for fun?
You get an alert and have a certain amount of hours to cancel the order.

These are better than the Amazon listening devices which are creepy as heck and will one day be used by our government to invade our privacy.
