I tried one from Billy’s last week though, I’ll be damned if I eat that crap over a link of their smoked

I prefer the pepper jack boudin egg rolls. Not a huge fan of the pepper jack boudin balls.

Where is LeBlanc's?

LeBlanc's boudin is sold in a lot of gas stations, but it used to be made in St. Amant at the Triple S Convenience Store across from Holy Rosary Catholic Church. However, since the flood, they have been producing it elsewhere. They make pork boudin, shrimp boudin, and hogs head cheese (both hot and mild). The same person who owns LeBlanc's boudin also owns Ivy Pride Tamales on Hwy 22 in St. Amant. Their Tamales are pretty good, and you can buy them frozen and heat them up in the microwave or steam them on the stove. They have pork, beef, and boudin tamales.

Definitely embarrassed that the whole country saw that side of Louisiana. We already have this waterboy stereotype we didn’t need this.

Really? It's something you can't see anywhere else in the world. People drinking, cooking good food, having a good time..

People started wearing the costumes to mock the aristocrats, so it's not like it's just people dressing up for no reason.. There is some history to it.

The boudin really is embarrassing, but for the price it's not bad. You can get a link for $1 at Triple S. The Tamales are pretty decent, too, but aren't going to compare to real deal delta tamales. Once again, though, great for the price. I actually like their hogs head cheese a lot, though not quite as much as Jerry Lee's.

I mean he ate a GOAT Billy'a pepper jack boudin ball and didn't even discuss it or the cracklins. Now I get he was in Opelousas but still

I've never had one but pepper jack is one of my least favorite cheeses. I wouldn't be surprised if he felt the same way. Sounds like a good way to ruin a boudin ball.

Are you telling me Mamou Mardi Grad is the only place in the world where you can see people drinking, cooking good food, and having a good time?

It's the only place where all of that goes on along with people chasing chickens on horses, while dressed in costumes... And the other traditions that go along with it.. You jackass.

Sorry, I assumed you knew I was talking about mardi gras as a whole in that area. And just listed a few things that people do everywhere, as to say.. it's something people all over do to celebrate something. But it's a unique experience during mardi gras because of what all goes on around it.

My mistake, please forgive me..

There are unique experiences all over the world. Riding around on a horse chasing chickens in a costume isn’t anything people are lining up to experience

It’s not like going to Spain to watch or participate in the Running of the Bulls

It’s funny people are defending it like it’s really some cultural gem in Louisiana. It’s embarassing I don’t care what you say. LA really has some beautiful things and great culture that can be shared. This is not one of them.

You Acadiana homers are unbearable. Y’all act like you’re so much more important than the rest of LA and the rest of us are just uncultured idiots. New Orleans excluded of course.

Love the hell out of those. Whenever I’m driving I-10 coming and going through Scott/Lafayette I stop there to get some boudin balls. Pepper jacks the best as long as you eat em while they’re still hot. the burnt roof of mouth that follows is worth it.
