I've never seen an advertisement on TD, because I heard of these things called ad blockers. They're new, you should try them out. And, you can use OF and make sure you're personally responsible for paying the person you flog the log to. Everyone's happy!

After everything I posted and provided a link from a .gov website to support with evidence of how disgusting and abusive that industry is, that is your response? A snarky retort about ad blockers?

It's a shame people are so defensive of an industry like this. It's truly a shame.

Yes.

Yes. Lighten up, Sally. Your church will still take your money, mommies and daddies will continue to parent incorrectly, and the world will move on. Wait, it all started with dancing, didn't?

Sorry, I don't find supporting an industry that rapes, enslaves, and brutalizes people something to "lighten up" about. But please, continue to throw your support behind all of that atrocity so you can spend some alone time with your laptop.

The results of the research failed to support many common stereotypes. Most notably, the porn actresses were no more likely to report having been sexually abused as children than national averages or than a sample of demographically matched women Griffith and his colleagues recruited at a university and at an airport…
Porn actresses were also more likely to report higher self-esteem than average women, another unsurprising finding, Griffith said.

Just curious…off topic, but did you cheer when Nottoway Plantation burned, or did you lament the loss of a beautiful reminder of “The old Genteel South”? Did you guffaw at the many people who celebrated its demise due to the history of people being “raped, enslaved, and brutalized” on the property?

So, you’re connecting some place that was bad a 160 years ago to something that is happening right now every day.
Bit of a stretch.

My goodness, this may be the final boss of red herrings. As the other poster said, introducing an argument about atrocities that were committed over 150 years ago to soften the blow of the reality we see today in the porn industry is.........................quite a stretch indeed.

It doesn't even surprise me anymore the mental gymnastics people engage in to defend their porn habit.
