Why run? Just sit on a bench and watch them pass

Went to Millsaps and probably have sat at that intersection 100's of times. Not a bad area but also not far from a bad area. Pretty crazy.

A co-worker of mine had his truck stolen while eating lunch Que Sera Sera (It's closed now?) in broad daylight. Glad I moved out of Jackson.

There are over One Million residents of Montana. Jackson is under 200,000. Jackson will have more murders than Montana. Montana has as many guns as Jackson. Montana doesn't have a young subculture that likes to kill.

One suspect arrested, one still loose.

An arrest has been made in the death of a Brandon woman who was shot to death at a stop light on Fortification and State streets in Jackson and police are searching for a second suspect.

Nicholas Coats, 21, is charged with murder in the death of Chelsie Lynn Kirschten, 23.

Kirschten was shot and killed in her Pontiac at the intersection just before 11:48 p.m. Thursday, August 17. A female passenger in the front seat was unharmed.

Coats was arrested Monday afternoon, according to a release from Jackson Police Department.

A second suspect, Lidarius Dixon, 19, has been charged with murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle. He is currently at large, according to officials with the Jackson Police Department.

JPD Commander Tyree Jones said investigators have yet to find any personal connection between the shooter and the driver. Nothing was found stolen. Jones said, at this point, a motive is still under investigation.

Further arrests are possible.
