How much do you pay for TV services each month and how many channels do you have? Breaking out of a bundle package and trying to decide which route to take.

I just went through this about 3 weeks ago. Ended up going with Dish and this promotion.
In my new house I was worried about them running cable to new rooms (and paying for it) but with Dish I just added on two wireless receivers (one time fee of $50 and 7/m for each). So I can either take a TV outside and it still gets satelite, or if I have guests staying over take then one from our bedroom to theirs.
Been really happy so far.
ETA: I do internet through a company called Wow (60 down 6 up) for $50 a month and Dish is $67 a month with the wireless boxes and taxes.

I just signed up for the same thing. Went from $160/month with Cox to $60/month with Dish for almost exactly the same channels. Getting it installed Sunday.

Our contract is up with Directv and we pay around $135 right now. I would call and get it lowered and get the NFL package, but we will be moving at the first of the year to KC, and don't want to have to be locked into Directv, because once we get there we can get Google Fiber (1000 mbps upload and download speeds)

Getting AT&T U Verse on Friday. 45 Mbps internet and the U300 package with sports tier (NFL Redzone). Gonna be $125 a month and be $100 a month cheaper than cox. TV package is better with U Verse and Internet is only 5 Mbps slower. I'm not a gamer or downloading massive amounts of shite, so I doubt we will notice.

I pay for internet and stream. No "Dish/DirecTV/Cable" or any other "TV service" in our house.

My son is moving soon (not able to get a signal at the new spot) and currently has Dish (still under the agreement). Any advice I can pass along on how he can cancel the service and not pay the cancelation fee?
