Currently on pace for about 150 murders this year.

Of course not. With that said, the overwhelming majority of violent crime in the city, including this instance, occur in areas that very few people who post on this board live in. People say that Baton Rouge is a “war zone” and yet feel perfectly comfortable going to the Spanish Town Parade, to events like White Light Night, etc, etc. If the average person in Baton Rouge is truly concerned about violent crime in the city, they don’t seem to live their lives like they are.

Baton Rouge has a police rank and file problem. They don’t give a shite. I used to defend the police but I can’t anymore. They will blame a victim instead of doing their job. They don’t collect evidence from a crime instead hand you a little business card with a link to upload camera evidence that they won’t do shite with. BRPD is a joke. Don’t think having cameras on your house or business will help you. It won’t be followed through with. It’ll only let you know where to secure your home or property for the next time it happens.
