My mom lives alone and enjoyed the company of my dog. She felt safe, but you are going to start throwing around assumptions.

I guess you aren't responsible since you ride around with your boyfriends on bikes. Can't wait until your daughter grows up to the the little whore she is destined to be like all the older biker guys I know.... Since we are going to start using generalities with a broad brush.

You're acting as if this is a good thing to have a dog with this type of a psychological profile to be a the end of your daughter's bed. If anything that makes it even more unstable and more likely to attack your child. Any good or remotely smart father would know this, but hey, you're adopting a poor breed known for violence out of a likely violent upbringing, and letting it sleep at the end of your daughter's bed. Pit bulls don't belong in the care of most of the people who own them, plain and simple. However, the solution is not to exterminate the breed. Sure, there isn't much that a pit can do that another breed can do just as well if not better besides bite hard and kill kids, but the solution is not government regulation based on breed. If you want to stop these things from happening then just impose criminal liability on the owner if the dogs kills someone. Over time hopefully the fear of prosecution would decrease the number of pit bull owners, but then again, a vast majority of pit owners are quite familiar with a jail cell.
