Of course you could always do both, but Easter egg hunts are way better.

Pacqueing eggs were always a very small side show at any childhood Easter gathering I attended. Like maybe done a handful of times at most total. The hunt was always in a class by itself.

Also since having 3 kids (oldest 6) I’ve noticed that hunts aren’t what the used to be. Seems like most gatherings now just dump a bunch of eggs in plain sight.

That all changes this year.

Growing up, Easter was one of the only days where the WHOLE family would get together.

Had Easter egg hunts, and my grandparents would put money in some of the eggs.....

Talk about an all for out hunt war between all the cousins.

I’m talkin about, diving over tables, climbing up gutters, tackling uncles type of Easter egg hunts.

It’s a big deal for kids under 6 or 7. In our house, we paqued with Popee until his last Easter at 94. That was bug deal after I was 7 or 8. That and the egg salad sandwiches we ate the next day fishing.

In my family, we were very religious.
We went into our rooms on Good Friday and my parents put a big rock/boulder in front of our door and we couldn't come out until Sunday. So when we had an Easter egg hunt, we just ate the eggs immediately because we were so hungry after not eating for nearly 3 days. Eggs werent even dyed in pastel colors or anything. Actually they were just in the chicken coop. I guess it really wasnt an Easter egg hunt and more just survival.

I enjoy watching old people pacque eggs. That’s about it.

The best hidden eggs are the ones you find a month later by smell

Well of course. I can hunt for my Faberge eggs. I wouldn't dare allow anyone to bash them together like heathens.
