With my boy its more of an anger thing. The fireworks legit piss him off and hes trying to go attack them. He'd chase down the source if we let him outside

The puppers (a pit mix, because I am a horrible human) doesn't seems to mind, even though he is an anxious animal. He is probably too distracted about eating a human's face off.

Our chocolate lab just perks her ears up and goes back to chewing her toy.

Such a well tempered breed.

All my dogs and cats must have been used to hearing us shoot guns and stuff. I have been lucky enough to never have a nervous one.

I feel sorry for the ones that do get scared.

Be happy that fireworks aren't allowed in the town I live.

Mine hasn’t raised as much as an eyebrow in the last few years. The first few years it was tough as she expected stuff to fall out the sky.

Never again We did a whole pill and thought the same thing, so we just give her 1/4 pill during fireworks and rainstorms

Loud noises don’t bother my dog at all. He’s pretty mellow.

My tiny, full grown, 2 1/2 year old, 4.5 lb Yorkie/Shitzu isn’t scared at all. When the small fireworks go off, she pays them no attention. When the loud booms go off, she may stop what’s she’s doing, look around for a sec or two, and keep going.
This dog ain’t scared of shite, including other dogs, no matter the size (which may get her killed one day). I’ve seen her chase off large dogs that are 10x bigger than her.

Our dog is currently riding the Xanax train right now, so he’s good. Was losing his shite earlier.

I just read on FB that a couple of the local animal shelters near me do a "Calm The Canine" event on NYE. Basically you go there from 11 pm until 12:30 am and hang out with the shelter dogs.

Listen to soft music with them. Read to them. Or just hang out with them.

Play “Red Rocket” with them, it calms them greatly

So since I taught him from an early age to stay calm, nearby, and relax all in one command he does exactly what I say. It really is fantastic. Never have any issues because he chills out when I tell him to chill out.
