Why do I feel dirty for up-voting this?

My son is seven, and when describing people, still calls black folks “tan” or kind of brown skinned if asked. For the longest time he thought referring to people’s color was referring to their hair color. We figured that one out when he said something about the little red boy he was playing with. We’ve since made sure to step up our parenting and not allowed hom to consort with gingers.

Anyway, if you don’t make skin color a thing, it’s weird, but it won’t be a thing.
