I agree, people are fricking retarded. Had a few people I know do this exact thing. They're Italian but one found out that he is more Greek than Italian. The other one found out she is more Greek than Italian and is pissed beyond belief. Sorry, you're still Italian to me. Once they start growing olives in their house, then I'll feel the need to say something. Until, life goes on and frick your ancestors.

Do you have a source on this supposed "re-branding" attempt?

A 2-inch x 2-inch tattoo of Lucille Ball on my arse has nothing to do with re-branding. It has everything to do with my recognizing her greatness as an entertainer and her impact on my life.

I find it difficult to believe they can say a certain marker is unique to benin and the other is from senegal.
My ignorance.
Maybe.

I use bouganville island as my tether to all this. 20 dialects, three languages on an island 49 sq miles with live volcanoes separating tribes.
So i guess 500 years ago the czechs were not commuting much to east germany so i convince myself they really can pinpoint origin of marker t6f42aw6

He's likely Sicilian, which will often come up with a lot of Greek DNA.

Those peoples' stories are made up or embellished by ancestry.com

IDK why people do it, but I sure as frick don't care if they do.
If you want to pretend that your DNA makes you a Nigerian Prince then that's cool with me. But, I'm not responding to your email about needing my social security number and banking info so you can transfer a bunch of money.

It’s just commercials, dude. They’re paid actors. They’re selling a service.

Why don’t you worry about something meaningful?

funny story, local guy got arrested and convicted of murder after 15 year cold case because his family got the ancestry .com dna kits for Christmas and sent them in. Cops had the DNA in the system but no close enough matches to follow up until his family sent that in to see there background and it flagged to be a close kin to them and they busted him from DNA the cops got out of his trash can on a napkin where he cut himself shaving.

Admins don't like 2 word thread titles for some reason, even if they are completely descriptive of the thread as here.
