I would agree it was further off than I would want. Not bad for a quick back of the envelope though. I make predictive algorithms for a living so I am always amazed at how many revisions get made to these crests. The overall accuracy can be a bit suspect.

Chuker was attempting humor.

One of the other variables that is hard to factor in is the wind direction and speed. It mostly impacts the Diversion but it also impacts the Amite north of the Diversion/Amite wier. Because the Diversion is straight a South wind will back it up and a North wind will help evacuate it. We have had a steady North breeze today which has helped a little. In 2016 there was a strong South wind for many days during the flooding that made it worse than expected.

It’s even worse if you drop his projection down to millionths if a foot!!!!! LOL
