Position coaches can hardly even talk to players right now so this wasn’t a real football practice. It was either some 7 on 7 or Summer conditioning program ran by the strength coach,

Good times

Even Relaxin Jackson in June and July was as hot as the seventh ring of hell by the time we got out of chow. I don't think there was a single day we tucked our trousers into our boots the entire time I was in basic.

I used to executive produce a tv show on SEC recruiting and went to several summer practices in June and July. Whether in Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, or Florida the kids were never in helmets and pads until August. For the most part it was weights in the morning and conditioning at night. Don't get me the conditioning was two hours of hell for the kids, but they were always in shorts and t-shirts.

Schools all over La are practicing and have been for three weeks now. Not allowed to practice in full pads until fall.

Whoever said coaches aren’t allowed to talk to players right now has no idea how Louisiana HS football operates.
