Hahaha you said you can make BBQ and “Tex Mex” at home similar to how people make Cajun dishes at home. I find that hard to believe

Well dang, Baw. Practice and open up a small stand. If you're good, it's a golden goose. Good Mexican joints print money.

on Cypress

I grew up going to cypress inn right on the water. It burned down and rebuilt on airline, but we used to drive through cow pastures and nothingness on the way out there. Then they built Walmart and it just blew up.

You said slight edge.

Slight.

As in barely better.

That is more complicated dishes than Louisiana Mexican restaurants are able to pull off. The basic issue with Mexican in the south east is the tortillas suck

I can make damn good Tex Mex or mexican style dishes, or Guatemalan dishes. I still go to Guatemala every 2 years and visit family so I've learned how to make stuff. BBQ I'm ok with.

Outside of Cajun/Creole food and seafood, Louisiana cuisine is definitely nothing special. That’s my OPINION

Just not a fan.

There’s so much great non chain Tex mex in Texas that you don’t need to go to those places.

I think that was the place I ate in Round Rock although I ate at another Mexican place also that was better but Chuy's, if that was it, was really good.
