there is definitely a big semantics element of this
I make x salary and live well enough and save a good bit, but i would need a lot more to truly be "comfortable"

I was off by damn near 10k on what I thought my state income tax was vs what I actually paid.
well i had pulled out the W2, the property tax records etc and compared pretty closely because things werent making sense money wise. in the end we ended up not making the move and was the best decision we could have ever made.
