why don't you take a few minutes or hours off of the OT. you're getting too irrationally angry at the wrong things here and now you're just being belligerent.

It's a tragedy but I get what he is saying. There was nothing we could do to save him. And if they do have another journalist there won't be much for us to do for him either.
Its the sad truth with those psychopaths.
I never said we could have prevented this situation or that we can prevent the next one. I said the way our president handles things is infuriating and he is a shite of a person and a horrible president.

Don't want to hijack this thread but what is happening with the marine in mexican prison? Are we trying to get him released or just going to let him die there while BO improves his handicap?
Think about that Marine for a minute. I am sure if you look closely at his picture it will come to you in a blinding white light.

Well, it's rather obvious that there is no way to "peacefully coexist" with these barbaric insects.
It's certainly starting to appear that getting rid of these rats will require doing an about-face concerning our policy towards the Syrian gov't.

my anger is how our president handles things. he cannot to save his life handle a situation well. He has not done so once in the entirety of his presidency.

Well for the most part I was just talking about the rest of Bluefin's post
But there were quite a bit of people trying to blame Obama in here

And you're still wrong.
THIS very moment we are living in is most peaceful time in recorded history. Not 15 years ago, not 10, not 5...right now and the statistics back it up.
Not sure why you can't understand that.
Sorry... He's right, you're wrong.

It may make for bleak reading, but of the 162 countries covered by the Institute for Economics and Peace’s (IEP’s) latest study, just 11 were not involved in conflict of one kind or another.
Worse still, the world as a whole has been getting incrementally less peaceful every year since 2007 – sharply bucking a trend that had seen a global move away from conflict since the end of the Second World War.
quote:
Speaking to The Independent, the director of the IEP Camilla Schippa warned that the state of peace in our time has been “slowly but steadily decreasing” in recent years.
quote:
“Major economic and geopolitical shocks, such as the global financial crisis and the Arab Spring, have left countries more at risk of falling into conflict,” Ms Schippa said.
“In the last year we have seen a large increase in terrorist activity, a resurgence of conflict in Gaza, and no resolution to the crisis in Syria and Iraq.
“Outside of the Middle East, civil unrest in Ukraine has turned into armed rebellion, and there has been increasing violence in South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.”
She added: “Continuing global unrest means that there is unlikely to be a reversal of this trend in the short run.”

I watched the Berg video years ago and I will never watch another again. That one stuck with me for a minute. I feel for Sotloff and I can't even imagine what his family is going through. With that being said If you mess with the bull you get the horns.

who ever takes anything on the OT seriously? this thread will become an IM thread as soon as a woman comments in it anyway. Had to get my thoughts out in the first couple pages.

Worse than the past? HAHAHAHA, frick no.
You don't even have to look far back to find things that are way worse.
Are you serious? It's not opinion. It's a fact. Don't let nostalgia get in the way of the truth. Just because you can turn on your computer and see all of the world's problems at once doesn't mean that it's worse.
