Not really the same. Cheaper energy helps just about everyone else in the country except oil trash.

I belong to a philosophers group, just for the hell of it. In between Kant memes and inflating their own egos, it turns out every single one of them is a Marxist, and they are begging for the loss of millions of jobs so the economy will collapse so the workers will rise up and crush the rich, build a communal moneyless society. There are a surprising number of people who don't want to ever see the economy recover, or who believe that 25% stock market losses and 30% unemployment are fine, because those things "only hurt rich people".
Some of them are actual PhDs. Some are just uneducated leftists. Almost none of them understands economic concepts. It's funny as hell to read when they get political, but honestly, that is not even the most radical of the ideas that some of them champion.
