Feb 11th and was given an initial delivery date of March 8th

Anything with an arrival date that far out is likely on the really slow boat from China...Prime or not.

I make sure I get my $35 minimum to make free shipping.

i'm pretty sure the $35 minimum is just for delivery from store...if you choose shipping instead of delivery, there is no minimum purchase for the free shipping...and many times, even if you select shipping, you actually get it within a day or two from the store anyway...

I cancelled Amazon Prime a few months ago. It is incredible how slow the shipping is without it. Pretty much anything I order now Amazon sits on for about two weeks before letting it leave their warehouse.

Guess they taught you a lesson.

Wait… you mean you pay for a better service and you get it, but people who don’t pay get poorer service? Gadzooks!

I pay for Amazon Prime but I don’t know why since it takes about 8 or more days to get stuff in my area.

About 6 years ago, we ordered about 5 items from Walmart for home delivery. They all arrived in 5 separate cars. We have a Ring doorbell so we got to see the 5 separate drivers. They must have colluded so each made some money on our single order. One guy we watched on video rang our doorbell, stood there for about 15 seconds and then just throws the item that was in a Walmart bag at our front door and says "Take that, mother fricker!" and storms off. I didn't bother reporting to Walmart. We stopped using their home delivery service. That was in Metro Atlanta. I retired a year later and we moved back to a small town away from all of the nonsense in the Atlanta area.

The $139 is worth it. The shipping cost savings offsets the Prime cost. I guess if you don't buy much from them you might not get a cost break but I've probably had enough shipped the last 30 days to cover the cost and as you stated, the time delay is ghastly.

I’ve actually noticed increased shipping times since cancelling prime. I cancelled bc it was taking 2 weeks for delivery with prime and even then I was having returns rejected.

Prime is an amazing time/value proposition, especially when you factor in the Roku app movie service.
