Just giving you a hard time 
I wouldn't worry about this. Anyone crazy enough to actually do harm to you wouldn't threaten you over a text message before he did. As I said, he's just acting tough. Part of their culture.

I wouldn't have given away what I knew about him TO him.
The world is a dangerous place, as it is. He's not unique; plenty of shite bags out there you've never met before who'd happily harm you for whatever cash you are carrying.
It's a good idea to have the means to protect yourself. But it requires knowing how. If you're getting a gun, get training, for the long haul.

I've been to the shooting range plenty of times. It's literally a mile away, just never thought too seriously about purchasing a firearm till now. I'll go by there this weekend when I'm free to see if it'll help out my mind more at ease.
Don't think he knows anything personal about me aside from having my name, cell number, and of course where I'm working, but this project should be wrapped up soon then it'll be onto the next one.
Today went fine tho. Was able to focus on my work without worrying too much, and hoping to finish off the week the same. Gonna be a little while before I can put this all behind me, but this has definitely been an eye opening experience and I've learned my lesson about letting shite go when dealing with crazy.
Don't think he knows anything personal about me aside from having my name, cell number, and of course where I'm working, but this project should be wrapped up soon then it'll be onto the next one.

Ya know the guy probably has enough street smarts to not take any action at your place of work. If he is really going to do anything, he'll catch you somewhere else after he lets you put your guard down.
