Jones, I feel your pain. Returned from my second tour and ended my active duty in early 2012. I managed to land a job several months later as a service supervisor and 18 months later I was given a severance package after they replaced my 1 boss with 2 individuals. So they doubled the pay for the position above me and could no longer afford to keep me.
Awesome!

craigslist has tons of openings all day everyday.
Never thought about that. I always though craigslist as more of a buy/sell site. Not one like monster.com or something.
Also to bad we don't have a board for something like this. I would think it would be very popular. Ppl could post openings they have for employment. Other ppl could say hey i want more info on that. I wonder if Chicken would consider something like that?

try craigslist. hell you can look in any city and find a job all day long. monster is hard to get a job from unless you have alot of qualifications.
craigslist has a general labor section and a skilled trade/craft section.
look there i can assure you that you can find something very easy.

I have looked in it tonight and see several adds for electricians.

Hell I'm 24 and can't find anyone to hire me, even with a bachelors degree. Job market still sucks
Go back and get a nursing degree

If you were legit ately just looking for any job and dont mind manual labor i could have you working by 630
Will try this one more time: can I email you?
Also, if I want to try to get into O&G (at the bottom obviously) any other advice would be appreciated. I'm about to just show up at places on Hwy 1 and LA 308 as was advised earlier in this thread.

Have you considered using a skill set resume rather than a chronological resume to highlight your skill set? It will be easier to showcase your skills in the career of your choosing.
Good luck.

Probably has more to do with your lack of experience than your age. Everyone says they learn quickly. And you might, but a lot of people say that. It's almost as cliche as "team player"...
