Regardless of what was going on in his brain he made a move that can be interpreted as going for his gun whether his intention was to do so or not. That is clear from the video. His hand was up by his shoulder and the cop was trying to control it. He continues to try to free his hand and then moves it down by the pocket containing the gun.
You just don't want to accept it

You are such a doofus. You asked if I was OK with the murder of the raising canes girl. Stupid question. I responded why would I be OK with any murder. And from that you get that I am saying that the cops murdered this guy. You're such a tool . I have already emphatically stated that it was obvious that it least one cop feared for his life. I, as well as many others, have said it is not clear if he was reaching for the gun. That is in no way defending him. It is simply saying there's not enough information, in my opinion But you keep on with putting words in my mouth.

Unfortunately we've seen this play out before, over zealous cops in a quick second decision with a tenured criminal.

You honestly don't see him pulling his arm up and back then down towards that pocket area... Doesn't mean he was definitely reaching for the gun but considering there was a gun in that pocket, they let him know they knew about it, they had a gun inches from his chest and he continued...makes it pretty reasonable to believe that he was reaching for the gun..
Maybe not though... He could've been just waving it around trying to keep his hand from being pinned.. I suspect his intent was to get the gun and get rid of it.. He was clearly not being rational and it led to his death, unfortunate for him.

Sad thing is what a lose lose situation this is. Not only did someone lose their life, BR is gonna explode over this. If the investigation concludes officers were justified, the racial tension will explode. If it concludes they weren't justified, same will happen. Nobody will win this.

If the second video would have stayed on the fight, we may have possibly seen the victim going for his gun which is why the officer shot him a few more times as he was crawling away
