Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it is *technically* possible for a modern crocodilian to reach that size - my understanding is that they can live indefinitely and grow larger, provided they are able to eat enough to sustain themselves. That just becomes close to impossible in the wild.

they have found near 30 footers in the wild. sharks too i think. snakes as well.

Yes whale sharks and basking sharks can grow in excess of 40 feet.

ETA: And this fricker can grow to 30 ft.

the ERDC Environmental Laboratory in Vicksburg has a branch that is constantly experimenting with the electric barrier to keep Asian Carp from going up the Chicago River into Lake Michigan...
