What little evidence that exists can theoretically be explained by the previous night's encounter.
Establishing that alternative theory has nothing to do with "painting her as a whore". It's a logical defense. It provides the "reasonable" in reasonable doubt.

Trauma? scant and likely not penetrative in nature
Alternative explanation? Will exist if this story checks out
The prosecution has the burden of showing how this reasonable alternative is not possible with the evidence they can present the jury.

My understanding of Louisiana Law on rape, does not require penetration. The only requirement is contact. So penetration is a false flag.
