Talk about blasphemy. John had followers, no church. When John saw Jesus he told his followers “there he is, go follow him”. John also said one coming after me is greater than I.
If, what you say is true there was no church until the 1700s until John Smyth started it.
The Baptist church was started by John Smyth, the Catholic Church by Jesus. Which is real again?
