AllStar U10 team down by 4 bottom of the 6th.
Get 2 at bats that produce 3 runs by non select players.
3 straight Select aka travel baws leave Coach’s kid that’s Select standing next to him on 3rd.
Loss by 1.

Can't read all the responses to see if:

A: you back this up with evidence that it really happen

B: you gave us the score. If they lost 4-3 you may have a point. If the lost 12-11 and the other 8 runs were scored/driven in by select players it tells a different story

C: Were the runs scored by the other team scored/driven in by select players?

Correlation does not imply causation.

Right, because the non selects let the team down the whole game that wouldn't change anything.

Because that's the path. Those same kids would have still played D1 if rec league to all start then high school with supplemental short seasons were the path like it was 20 years ago.

If you want to increase the foreign/DR players to American Ratio then yea, but for Americans to stay a force in the professional ranks things changed. It is what it is.

He doesnt have one. La has millions of people, he states thousands play travel baseball. So by his own stats he pulled out of his arse there is a super minority of people participating in travel baseball.

But that doesnt stop him from making the amazing, spectacular leap that the super majority cant afford it. They cant afford something they choose to not participate in......but yet it is causing them to not save for retirement.

yes, yes, it is as stupid as it sounds.

And that’s why his dad had to buy him a townhouse and get him a job at HR Block.

Pretentious idiots like you peacocking about making $150-250K a year. I will be the first to tell you that you aren’t rich either.

Nobody said that 150k was rich, but its enough to were kne can drop 3k and not run to a message board and bitch about the horrible travel ball people leaving all the poor people behind.

And it seems to me that we have a bunch of people in this thread with reading comprehension problems. I stated plenty of times that every single organization will find a way to help you if your kid is good enough. Everyone offers sponsorships, fund raising etc that you are free to participate in. Plenty of other parents sponsor other kids or sponsor the world series so the other parents don't have to fund it.

It's idiots that act like this is a poor vs rich thing. It's not. These organizations will find a way to work with athletes that are worth helping. Sorry every little Johnny off the street can't afford it or might not be good enough. But if you are good enough, they will find a way to work with you.

This is the same old bullshite private vs public school argument. The public school people seem to get pissed and think that one must perceive themselves as above public school if they choose private. It's fricking stupid. People with the ability to afford it are going to do what's bets for their kids, no matter if talking sports, school, act prep etc.

If that pisses you off....well Sorry for being a good parent. If you can't afford it maybe you should have made better life choices and maybe back in high school you shouldn't have been going to all the skip days snd prolly should have taken a few ap courses. Or in college maybe you should have chosen something like engineering over chasing your dream of being a historian. Wasn't like you didn't start getting earned back in elementary school about the consequences of not doing good in school and pursuing higher level degrees.
